New - Fitness After 40 - Fitness Hub

We are excited to announce the opening of our brand-new Fitness Hub AT 1/21 Forsyth Street, set to open in mid-November. This spacious, state-of-the-art facility will offer an expanded range of equipment and group classes, including our popular Women’s Strength Class for over 45s, which will move to this new location.

The Fitness Hub will feature:

  • A 5-cable multi-station

  • 4 barbell racks with benches

  • Pin-loaded chest, leg, and shoulder presses

  • Reformer

  • 8 TRX stations

  • Aqua boxing bags

  • Spin bikes

  • Rower, ski erg

  • A large selection of weights, bands, and Swiss balls

 

All of our exercise physiologists will be working from this space throughout the week. The Fitness Hub will also be available to other practitioners for one-on-one sessions or group classes. To book, please click on the link or contact our reception team on 02 6921 3390.

All classes are health fund rebatable with the exception of classes instructed by a personal trainer.  

Classes on Offer

Each class is led by a qualified exercise physiologist or physiotherapist and limited to 8 participants. Private health fund rebates are available, though they may vary depending on your provider. For more details, please contact your health fund directly.

Cardio Combo Circuit

These classes are a mix of strength and cardio, focusing on endurance repetitions and low load.

  • Cardio machines and weights combination class

  • Excellent for diabetes management

  • Recommended for cardiac/heart conditions, general fitness and healthy ageing

Strength Circuit

The focus of these classes is to build muscle mass, leaving you feeling strong and stable.

  • Low reps high load

  • Strength machines and weights

  • A focus on reducing osteoporosis

  • Recommended post operatively or post hospitalisation

Functional Fitness

All round classes targeting upper and lower body with functional exercises

  • Plyometrics and free weights

  • Upper and lower body exercises

  • Focus on weight loss

  • Recommended for balance and stability training

Women's Strength Class for over 45s

Specifically for 

  • Menopause management

  • Osteoporosis prevention

  • Our existing Women’s Strength Class for over 45s will move to this location

Golfer's Strength and Stretch

Focus on core and rotational control targeting golf players.

  • Box and bike

  • Combining exercise bike cardio fitness with an upper body boxing circuit 

Diabetes Strength

Evidence based strength exercises specific to diabetics.

Men’s Strength Circuit

  • To maintain and build muscle mass

  • ​Heavier lifting designed for men using strength machines and weights

Cycling Fitness

Designed for cardio and strength specific to cyclists.

Bike and Box

A fun combination of boxing and bike circuit to increase cardiovascular fitness. This class is instructed by a personal trainer , no health fund rebates are available for this class.

NDIS Kids Strength Class

A small group, maximum of 6 participants in a circuit strength and cardio class targeting ages 8-12 years.

NDIS Teens Strength Class

A small group, maximum of 6 participants in a circuit strength and cardio class targeting ages 13 years and above.

Advanced Parkinson's Class

This class is specifically designed for clients with Parkinson's disease. It is a more advanced class. Exercises are targeted to retrain the brain to help improve Parkinson's disease symptoms. Classes are limited to 6 people to allow for close supervision and individualised exercises to cater for different levels of ability. These classes are led by our passionate physiotherapists who have undertaken additional study in management of Parkinson's disease.

Functional Conditioning

Physiotherapist instructed classes are a higher level functional strength class suited to people who wish to improve functional strength and fitness. They are also suitable for injury rehabilitation.
